Terms of Service

Last Updated: April 3, 2026

Welcome to Splice AI. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using our platform.

1. Beta Status & Service Limitations

Splice AI is currently in Beta. While we strive for reliability, the service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE." During this beta period, you acknowledge that:

  • The service may experience instability, temporary outages, or unexpected behavior.
  • Features and integrations may be added, modified, or removed without prior notice.
  • We strongly recommend double-checking critical automated actions (like sending important emails or merging code) before final execution.

2. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for your account's security and all activity that occurs under it. You agree to provide accurate and complete setup information and to keep your integration credentials up to date. You are responsible for any actions the AI takes on your behalf using the third-party integrations you authorize.

By connecting third-party services (Google, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, WhatsApp, GitHub, Jira, Notion), you confirm that you have the right to grant Splice AI access to those accounts and that your use complies with each provider's terms of service.

3. Data Use Agreement

Trust is foundational to Splice AI. Our commitment regarding your data is simple and absolute:

  • No Model Training: We do NOT use your user content, emails, codebase, calendar data, social posts, or command history to train, retrain, or fine-tune our AI models or any third-party models.
  • Secure Token Handling: Your OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest and are never exposed to third-party LLM providers. Only the specific context needed to fulfil a request is transmitted.
  • Google API Limited Use: Splice AI's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. Third-Party Platform Compliance

When you connect a third-party platform, Splice AI acts strictly as an authorised API client on your behalf. You remain responsible for ensuring your use of each connected platform complies with that platform's terms:

  • LinkedIn: Automated posting and any read access to posts or comments must comply with LinkedIn's Professional Community Policies and LinkedIn API Terms of Use. Splice AI reads LinkedIn post and comment data solely to provide you with AI-generated insights and reply drafts — this data is never sold, shared with third parties, or used to train AI models. Bulk messaging, spam, scraping member network data, or any use that violates LinkedIn's Acceptable Use Policy via Splice AI is strictly prohibited.
  • X (Twitter): Automated posts must comply with the X Automation Rules. You may not use Splice AI to post coordinated inauthentic content, conduct mass-follow/unfollow, or engage in platform manipulation.
  • Google: Use of Gmail and Calendar via Splice AI must comply with Google's Terms of Service and the Gmail Programme Policies.
  • WhatsApp: Use of WhatsApp connectivity must comply with WhatsApp's Terms of Service. You may not use Splice AI to send bulk unsolicited messages.
  • GitHub, Jira, Notion: Actions taken via these integrations must comply with the respective provider's developer and usage terms.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

To ensure a safe and reliable environment for everyone, you agree NOT to use Splice AI to:

  • Spam or Harass: Automate the sending of unsolicited messages, phishing attempts, or coordinated harassment campaigns across your connected platforms.
  • Scrape Data: Programmatically extract data from connected services in violation of their respective Terms of Service.
  • Reverse Engineer: Attempt to decompile, reverse engineer, or extract the source code or underlying prompting architecture of the Splice AI engine.
  • Perform Malicious Acts: Utilise the service to distribute malware, bypass security controls, or launch denial-of-service attacks.
Enforcement: Violations of this Acceptable Use Policy will result in immediate account suspension. In cases of copyright infringement or illegal activity, we comply with standard DMCA notice and takedown processes.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Splice AI, its founders, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill arising from: (a) your access to or use of the service; (b) the autonomous actions taken by the AI agent on your integrated platforms; (c) any unauthorized access to our servers or encrypted tokens; or (d) any bugs, downtime, or systemic failures during the Beta period.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Splice AI at our sole discretion, at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. Reasons for termination may include, but are not limited to, a breach of these Terms, non-payment of fees (if applicable), or prolonged inactivity. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease, and your data will be queued for deletion in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
