More than a reply
What it actually does on WhatsApp
Not a keyword bot with a menu. It reads your documents, writes the answer, and knows when it should not be the one replying.
01 / CAPABILITY
Runs on your existing number
Connects through the official Meta Cloud API to the WhatsApp Business number your customers already message. No new number, nothing for them to install. Use Meta's signup popup, or bring your own Meta app and paste your own credentials.
02 / CAPABILITY
Answers from your documents
Every reply is written from the files, pages and answers you upload. Search runs vector similarity and full text together, so a customer asking in their own words still lands on the right paragraph. Add a document and the agent knows it on the next message.
03 / CAPABILITY
The 24-hour window, handled
Free-form replies go out while Meta's customer service window is open. The moment it closes, follow-ups switch to your approved message templates instead of failing silently, and any nudge that would land outside the window is dropped rather than bounced.
04 / CAPABILITY
Templates you manage in one place
Write templates, check them against Meta's rules before you submit, and get a notification the moment Meta approves or rejects one, with the reason. Variables are validated so a blank merge field never goes out as a broken message.
05 / CAPABILITY
Voice notes become text
Customers who would rather talk than type get answered anyway. Voice notes are transcribed with automatic language detection and handled like any other message. If a note cannot be transcribed, the agent says so and asks for text rather than guessing.
06 / CAPABILITY
You set the bar for auto-send
A reply sends itself only once it clears the confidence threshold you choose. Anything below it, anything sensitive, and anyone asking for a human lands as a draft in your inbox for a teammate to approve or edit.
Platform rules
Built for Meta's rules, not around them
Most WhatsApp automation breaks in the same places: the messaging window, template approvals, and knowing whether a message actually arrived. These are handled as first-class parts of the product.
Registered the way Meta expects
Connecting a number runs Meta's register step and sets up two-step verification with a generated PIN, stored encrypted. Numbers already registered are detected instead of erroring.
Signature-checked webhooks
If you connect through your own Meta app, incoming events are verified against your own app secret, not a shared one. Credentials are encrypted at rest.
Delivery status you can see
Sent, delivered, read and failed are all recorded per message, and a failure keeps Meta's error code and reason so you know why it did not land.
Read receipts sent back
Every inbound message is marked read, so customers see the same blue ticks they expect from a real business, not silence.
Opt-outs respected on campaigns
Bulk template sends skip anyone who has opted out, and skip any recipient whose merge fields would render blank, because Meta rejects empty variables.
One number, one workspace
A number already connected somewhere else is refused rather than silently stolen, so two teams cannot end up fighting over the same line.
Made for your business
Built for businesses that live on WhatsApp
If your customers already message you instead of emailing you, this is the channel where response time decides the sale.
Ecommerce and D2C
Delivery timelines, return windows, sizing and payment questions answered the moment they are asked, at 11pm included.
Real estate
Qualify a walk-in enquiry, answer price and location questions, and book the site visit without a callback.
Clinics and diagnostics
Timings, preparation instructions and test pricing, with anything clinical handed to a human by design.
Education and admissions
Course details, fees and eligibility answered instantly during the enquiry rush, in the language the parent writes in.
Travel and hospitality
Package questions, availability and itinerary details handled while the customer is still deciding.
Services and B2B
Scope and pricing questions answered, then the qualified ones routed to the right person on your team.
See the difference
How this differs from a WhatsApp chatbot
The honest version. A rules-based chatbot is cheaper to buy and more expensive to maintain. Answering everything yourself works until the volume arrives.

Make it yours
From your knowledge. To your customers.
01
Connect your number
Through Meta's signup popup, or with your own Meta app credentials. Same number your customers already use, done in minutes.
02
Give it your knowledge
Upload documents, crawl your website, or paste the answers your team already sends. That is the only thing it answers from.
03
Set the auto-send bar
Choose how confident a reply must be before it goes out alone. Start high, watch the drafts, and loosen it once you trust it.
No. It connects to the WhatsApp Business number you already use, through Meta's official Cloud API, so customers keep messaging the same number they always have.
Is this the official WhatsApp Business API?
Yes. Splice AI connects through Meta's Cloud API with the whatsapp_business_messaging and whatsapp_business_management permissions. There is no unofficial browser automation or QR code scraping involved, so your number is not at risk of a ban.
What happens after 24 hours of silence from the customer?
Meta closes the free-form messaging window. Splice AI tracks that window per conversation and switches to your approved WhatsApp message templates for follow-ups, instead of attempting a free-form message that Meta would reject. Any scheduled nudge that would land outside the window is dropped rather than sent and bounced.
How do WhatsApp message templates work here?
You write templates inside Splice AI and submit them to Meta for review. Before you submit, they are checked against Meta's formatting rules, so problems like non-sequential variables, missing sample values or an over-length footer are caught early. When Meta approves or rejects one, you get a notification with Meta's own reason.
What stops the agent from making something up?
Two things. It searches your knowledge base before writing, and if the answer is not in there, the reply's confidence is capped at a level below any threshold you are allowed to set for auto-send. In practice that means an ungrounded answer can never send itself, it can only sit as a draft for a human.
Can it reply in Hindi, Hinglish or other Indian languages?
Yes. It detects the language and the script of each incoming message and replies in the same one, covering English plus Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, Marathi, Tamil, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, Urdu, Odia and Assamese, in native script or romanised. It mirrors the customer rather than initiating, so it will not answer in Hinglish to someone writing plain English.
Can it handle voice notes?
Yes. Voice notes are transcribed automatically with language detection, then answered like any other message. If a note cannot be transcribed, the agent tells the customer it could not hear it and asks them to resend as text, rather than guessing at what was said.
Can images and PDFs be sent to it?
Yes. Images, documents, audio, video and stickers are all received, stored against the conversation and available to your team in the inbox. Your team can send images and documents back out too.
Can a human take over a conversation?
Any teammate can take over with one click. That pauses the agent's replies, its scheduled follow-ups and its background resolution checks together, so the customer never gets a bot message on top of a human one. Handing back is one click as well.
Does this work alongside Instagram, email and phone?
Yes. Instagram DMs, email, phone calls and your website widget all route into the same inbox, behind the same agent and the same knowledge base, so an answer you fix once is fixed everywhere.
What does it cost to run?
Credits are deducted as the agent works, so a quiet month bills quiet. There are no seat fees and no monthly minimum. Meta's own conversation charges are billed by Meta against your WhatsApp Business account, separately from Splice AI.
